COMMISSIONS
I’m a
graphic artist & illustrator, so the fact that I am available for
commissions should be self-evident. The reality is that a lot of people have a
lot of sometimes understandable, sometimes odd ideas about artists, with or
without a capital A, and illustrators, and about approaching them. Too something or other, expensive, difficult, complicated... Not enough of something else.
I am both: an artist, very reasonably idiosyncratic (I like to think), and an illustrator, a gun for hire so to speak, sometimes even both at the same time. I obviously prefer to create with a maximum of freedom to do as I see fit, but I also like to find solutions to problems I didn’t think of myself, or to try to create someone else’s ideas instead of mine.
I’m open to all kinds of commissions and projects, at least in theory. I do, however, prefer working for the public sector, non-profits, the indie art & music sector, writers, publishers, magazines, and small businesses with a sustainable product or service.
I have very strong ideas on mindless consumerism and its environmental impact, so I’m not a good fit for everyone.
I do love to work with vintage photographs. If you have an old family picture that you want to rescue, restore or revive, and turn into something more contemporary, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
I might be a lot less expensive than you think. Or I might not be. In any case, my fees are negotiable, and I will take circumstances, causes and budgetary constraints into consideration.
If you’re interested in working with me, please get in touch here [hello-at-petrazehner-dot-com]
